Congratulations at last to Amy and Jamie who were married last month at the wonderful Rivervale Barn.
You might wonder why i say at last, well this is the wedding that nearly wasn't - twice! Amy and Jamie had originally planned to have their wedding in April but unfortunately a close family member was taken very ill a week before the wedding and the difficult decision to postpone the wedding was made.
Thankfully she recovered well and plans were made to hold the wedding in July but instead of the original 3pm wedding that had been planned, they now had a 12:30pm wedding. Well being one of three sisters and her niece and Jamie's sister making the other bridesmaids, that's a lot of girls to get ready and over from St Anne's Manor in Bracknell to Rivervale and inevitably they ran a little late. Normally not a problem, apart from making your groom a little more nervous, this day the registrars had somewhere else to go and as the girls past their allowed 15 minutes being late the registrars unfortunately had to make their way to the next ceremony!!
In classic Hollywood style though, as they were walking out of the door three cars came flying around the corner depositing bride and bridesmaids at the door - phew! Visibly releived, Jamie was over the moon as his beautiful bride walked down the aisle and they were finally married.
The rest of the day as you would expect at Rivervale went without a hitch and the couple were finally able to enjoy the day they had planned. It was a beautiful day with lots of laughter and amazing blue skies!
Cherubs did a great job as usual with the bouquets and dressing the barn and we were joined by Darren from Innovents for the music throughout the day. Thanks to the staff at Rivervale/Galloping Gourmet for all their help.
We wish Amy and Jamie all the best for their future together.
