Congratulations to Yvonne and Ali who were married a few weeks ago at the beautiful Rivervale Barn in Yateley.
Well this certainly was a wedding we had been looking forward to. As a keen follower of our blog, Yvonne has had lots of lovely comments for our previous brides and her day was finally here! It was all very calm as we arrived and Yvonne had her three daughters, best friend and sister were all there to help everyhting run smoothly. Yvonne's sister, Susie who is the owner of Bride and Proms, was on hand to help her into her dress and Yvonne looked absolutely stunning.
Meanwhile outside the boys were also in good spirits and all looked very smart in their kilts, although we were wondering if they were a bit cold! Ali has a great sense of humour and with his son and his brother at his side there was lots of laughter between them and they all looked very relaxed.
It was a beautiful ceremony and Yvonne and Ali made it even more special by writing their own vows to say to each other which had everyone in tears. It was very clear to see just how in love they are and there were very big smiles as they were announced as husband and wife and went on to enjoy the day with their guests.
Although it was quite cold, which made for beautiful pictures of the fountain with the icicles hanging down, we still made it out to the gardens for some family shots and then some lovely bride and groom shots. It was very important for Yvonne to be able to have their shots in the garden and she was absolutely amazing being out in the cold, we did have to defrost her a bit afterwards though, but luckily the barn is so warm and inviting it just made it even more special when they got back.
The barn looked wonderfully and Cherubs did a fantastic job to bring the Scottish thistle into all of the flowers from the button holes to the brides bouquet and then into the centrepieces. The speeches were all lovely and there was even a suprise speech from one of Yvonne's daughters that nearly brought me to tears too!
This was a truly family orientated wedding and we had such a great time with them all. The photo booth in the evening was very entertaining, I don't think I've ever seen so many decorated sporans!
We would like to wish Yvonne and Ali a fantastic future together, they are a wonderful couple and I'm sure they'll have many laughs together. Here are a few images from their day:-
