Now when I write my book (The tales of a wedding photographer!!), Julia will be in it as THE most organised bride we have ever had! By the time we arrived at Cain Manor, everyone had their books with duties and timings in and everything was in place for Julia and Neil to have their perfect day. The only thing Julia couldn't organise was the weather and of course the great British summer continued and it was raining!
There were still plenty of smiles and laughter though as we joined Julia and her bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day. Julia looked absolutely stunning in her dress and with her colour theme of bright pink, blue and yellow, all of the girls looked amazing too.
Julia arrived and entered the church, as planned, at 1:36pm (check out the clock!) and Neil was clearly thrilled to see her. During the service Julia's mum recited a poem she had written herself for and about the couple which was wonderful and had everyone in stitches.
Before we headed to Cain Manor, we stopped off to get a few shots at the Devil's Punchbowel and although it was still raining(!), Julia and Neil were fantastic and we managed to get some great shots with the magnificent views before heading to the reception.
After some very funny speeches, we set up our photo booth and everyone had lots of fun with all of the dressing up and props. We really love photo booth as it's such a fun way to get to know the guests.
We were all treated to a very special guest after the first dance as Michael Jackson (yes, ok not the real one!) appeared from the balcony and along with his backing dancers gave an absolutely fantastic show. Being a huge Michael Jackson fan myself, this was definately a highlight for me as it was for all of Julia and Neil's guests. Neil even got up to show everyone his moves!
This was truly a fantastic day and Julia did herself and Neil proud by organising such a great day. They are a wonderful couple and we wish them all the happiness for their future together.
People often ask us 'what do you do if it's raining?', well here it is.....
